Spanish Workshop is a conversation group for those who already speak some Spanish and want to practise and improve their communication skills.

We choose topics in advance, so that people can prepare by looking up or revising relevant vocabulary and language structures. Some are topics which may be useful on holiday such as: Food and Drink; Transport and Travel; Directions; Accommodation; Health. Others are everyday topics such as: Home; Family; Hobbies; Daily Life; Favourite Places; News and Current Affairs. From time to time we discuss aspects of Spanish and Latin American Culture such as: Films; Art; Festivals; Customs; Gastronomy.

A couple of times a year we go to La Cantina tapas restaurant in Heaton Moor. The staff don't speak Spanish but the Spanish food and a glass of Spanish wine, beer or sangria seem to enhance our ability to speak Spanish! Some of us also go to films at the annual VIVA! Spanish and Latin American Film Festival held at HOME cinema in Castlefield in April.

If you speak some Spanish and would be interested in joining us, please contact me using the email link above.  If you haven't used your Spanish for a while and think you've forgotten it, you haven't.  It's there in your brain somewhere and it will come to the forefront with a bit of practice.

**PLEASE NOTE - This class is now full, with a waiting list in operation. If you would like to join the waiting list, kindly contact the Group Leader via the link above.
